Grant Cycle and Timeline

Montana Matriarch is now accepting applications for its inaugural Community Grant. We have generated approximately $10,000 for our community grant fund, and award amounts will be based upon need and amounts requested. Grant applications will be available in August 12th and must be submitted by September 23rd. Grants will be awarded at the end of October.

A dedicated committee of Montana Matriarch members will review grant proposals and determine finalists to bring to the full membership. Each member gets one vote regardless of their giving level which they will use at the annual voting meeting in October to determine annual grant recipient(s).

August 12th-September 23rd: Community Grant application opens.

September 24th-October 11th: Grants Committee reviews applications and selects those that will advance to full membership for voting.

  • Only applications meeting the Park County Community Foundation grant eligibility requirements will be considered.

  • The committee will review and rank all applications. Preferred applications will demonstrate clear need, impact, partnership and longevity.

  • The highest scoring preferred applications will be forwarded to full membership for voting.

October 14th-October 21st: Full membership voting window.

  • Summaries of preferred applications will be passed to Montana Matriarch members to rank.

  • The committee will synthesize membership rankings and determine funding allocations.
